The first results are in from our little Spain live blog experiment on the front page over the last couple of days.
Here is a screenshot from Google Analytics, comparing Thursday and Friday this week (with the live blog on the front page) to Thursday and Friday last week (no live blog):
Total page views more than doubled, the number of pages people viewed during each visit is up 56% and average time on site is up a staggering 505%.
Not at all scientific, of course, but very interesting nonetheless, and I was concentrating more on making it work technically than on posting content.
It appears at first glance that you like the idea and find the format useful, so I shall post much more—and much more frequently—over the next few days.
