&lt;p&gt;Indeed I sensed that Edward was also a little doubtful about this. Are the consequences of a Euro exit, although tough in the short term, any worse than the alternatives? Wouldn&#039;t being able to devalue the &quot;new peseta&quot; help restore the competitiveness of the Spanish economy?&lt;/p&gt;
